Lebuhraya Kemuning-Shah Alam (LKSA) is operated by Projek Lintasan Shah Alam Sdn Bhd, a concession company owned by Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (PROLINTAS). The 14.7 km long highway provides a high-speed link connecting major highways in the Klang Valley.
LKSA begins at the existing KESAS Kota Kemuning Interchange and traverse northeast over Jalan Bukit Kemuning, Jalan Mantap, Sg Klang, Bulatan Jubli Perak, Persiaran Sultan and Bulatan Selangor towards Federal Highway.

The highway is built as an alternative route for road users as it helps to reduce traffic congestion along the Federal Highway Highway by diverting trough traffic from existing roads to LKSA.
LKSA has six interchanges named, Kota Kemuning Interchange, Jalan Bukit Kemuning Interchange, Alam Impian Interchange, Bulatan Jubli Perak Interchange, Bulatan Selangor Interchange and Federal Highway Route 2 Interchange.
For toll payment, (2) open concept toll plazas are located at Alam Impian Seri Muda respectively.
With efficient technology, LKSA would be able to reduce traffic volumes on local roads and junctions that are already congested by redirecting through traffic away from these roads, helps to improve both through traffic and performance at local junctions and helps to reduce congestion at these locations. LKSA also helps to cope with the traffic generated from the proposed developments in the area by applying open concept toll plazas located at strategic points at Alam Impian and Seri Muda respectively.
