Projek Lintasan Shah Alam Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 28 May 2004 as the consession company to undertake the privatization of the LKSA. The Consession Agreement with the Government of Malaysia was signed on 27 November 2006.

Projek Lintasan Shah Alam is 90% owned by Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (PROLINTAS) and 10% owned by Permodalan Nasional Berhad.
